Our Story
A small congregation with a very large heart.
For years, Assembly of Prayer Baptist Church has been a spiritual home on Long Island — a place where neighbors become family and every soul is treasured.
Assembly of Prayer Baptist Church was founded on a simple conviction: that a faithful, praying people can bring the light of Christ into any community. From our modest white and yellow sanctuary on Roslyn Rd, we have gathered week after week to worship God, encourage one another, and love our neighbors well.
We are small by numbers but rich in Spirit. Our members come from many walks of life — young families, seasoned saints, singles, seekers, and everyone in between. What we share is a hunger for God's Word, a heart for prayer, and a genuine love for one another.
You will not find celebrity here. You will find people who know your name, who will pray for you by name, and who will sit with you in your joys and your sorrows.
